Coach Tessiny began her volleyball journey at the age of 12, initially attending local clinics for two years near her hometown. Her dedication and skill earned her the starting libero position on the junior varsity team at her high school. The following year, she joined the CT Juniors club team, and soon after, secured a spot on the varsity volleyball team, where she served as captain for three consecutive years.
In recognition of her leadership and athletic accomplishments, she was honored as Student Athlete of the Year upon graduating in 2020, and was named to the FCIAC First Team. During her freshman year of college, Coach Tessiny furthered her commitment to the sport by becoming an assistant coach for a high school team while simultaneously reviving the Women’s Club Volleyball team at Southern Connecticut State University, after a five-year hiatus. She also served as the team’s starting libero for the next three years, solidifying her reputation as a strong and strategic player.
Upon completing her collegiate career, Coach Tessiny transitioned into coaching full-time. She is currently the head coach at BCHA in Stamford, where she has led the team to an impressive 7-0 win streak, underscoring her leadership, tactical expertise, and dedication to fostering athletic excellence.
