We are excited to welcome former NEVBC athlete, Coach Mathilde, to the NEVBC coaching crew! Originally from Ridgefield, CT,  Mathilde is a passionate player and coach whose journey in the sport spans over a decade. A dedicated athlete, she excelled in high school with two years on Junior Varsity and two years on Varsity, earning a spot on the Senior All-Star team. Mathilde continued her volleyball career at Dickinson College, where she served as captain for three years and played a vital role in shaping the team’s dynamic. Her love for the game shines through her commitment, both as a player and a coach.

Since 2024, Mathilde has been the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Connecticut College. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes teamwork and resilience, traits she witnessed firsthand during an unforgettable match against Trinity College. In a thrilling five-set game that ended with a nail-biting score of 17-19, Mathilde felt an overwhelming pride for her players, who demonstrated exceptional dedication and support for one another. This pivotal moment deepened her appreciation for coaching and reinforced her belief in the power of hard work and camaraderie.

Beyond volleyball, Mathilde enjoys reading, taking leisure walks downtown, and watching sports, making her a well-rounded individual with diverse interests. She cherishes her time at Northeast Volleyball Club, which she describes as a second family, reflecting her strong community ties and passion for nurturing young athletes. With her extensive experience and genuine love for the sport, Mathilde continues to inspire those around her on and off the court.
