Kyler Kotsakis brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the volleyball coaching realm, shaped by a distinguished playing career and a commitment to excellence in leadership. As a former NCAA Division I athlete for Loyola University Chicago, Kyler honed his skills in high-pressure environments, serving as the team’s primary serving substitute for four years. His accolades include being named to the MIVA All-Academic Team, reflecting his ability to excel both on the court and in academics. Prior to college, he captained Glenbard West High School to back-to-back state championships, achieving a historic undefeated season and earning the title of AVCA First Team All-American. These experiences laid a strong foundation for his deep understanding of teamwork, strategy, and resilience.

Transitioning from player to coach, Kyler has made an impact at every level of the sport. As the Head Coach for the U16 girls’ regional team at MOD Volleyball Club, he transformed practices into dynamic learning environments where players could build confidence and refine their skills. By developing game plans and tailoring strategies to his athletes’ strengths, Kyler ensured both individual and team growth. His time at Next Level Athletics further showcased his dedication to youth development, as he led clinics for younger players, introducing them to the fundamentals of volleyball in an engaging and accessible way. Across all his roles, he has prioritized fostering discipline, teamwork, and a love for the game.

Kyler’s coaching philosophy reflects his journey as a student-athlete, combining technical expertise with a focus on character building.
