Coach Kate comes to Northeast Volleyball Club as both an accomplished player and coach. Originally from Evergreen, Colorado, Kate started playing volleyball as a freshman in high school, eventually earning All-State honors. Kate has also played at the highest level of club volleyball, as her U18 club team won a National Championship at Junior Olympics.
Kate then went on to play four years of NCAA Division I Volleyball at the University of Denver as a left-handed opposite. After completing her degree at Denver, Kate earned a scholarship from Durham University in the United Kingdom to play in both the University League and National Volleyball League.
As a coach, Kate coached club for Colorado Volleyball Association for two years at the U17 and U18 levels, passing on her extensive knowledge and preparing many of her players for college volleyball opportunities. Kate also held an assistant coaching role for Team Durham women’s volleyball after sustaining a serious shoulder injury, where she then worked with Northeast Director Garrett Minyard to coach their team to two National Championships in both the National Volleyball League and the BUCS University League.
In addition to coaching our athletes on the court, Kate is our Travel Coordinator, assisting our families in planning for tournaments throughout the season.
