Coach Erik is an enthusiastic and dedicated coach from Darien, bringing over 20 years of volleyball experience to the court. Having played club volleyball in college, Erik has a deep passion for competitive beach and grass volleyball. His coaching journey began with a year of high school coaching in Bellevue, Washington, where he developed his skills in mentoring athletes and fostering team unity. Last year, Erik led the U15 team to a successful season and is eager to build on that success this year.

Erik’s love for volleyball shines through in his coaching approach. He is passionate about all aspects of volleyball drills and is committed to enhancing the skills of every athlete he coaches. His strengths lie in his dedication to player development and building a strong foundation for his teams. Erik is particularly invested in the growth of the Boys program at NEVBC, having been involved since its inception. He is excited to continue driving its growth, supporting recruitment efforts, and contributing to its ongoing success.

Outside of volleyball, Erik works at DraftKings, though he jokingly clarifies that he doesn’t wager on boys’ volleyball. A passionate sports enthusiast, he enjoys attending sporting events and spending quality time with his family. Erik has two sons and one daughter, all of whom have played for NEVBC, with his eldest son being part of the inaugural Boys NEVBC team. His commitment to the program’s future is unwavering, and he is dedicated to helping every boy improve their skills and thrive.
