We are thrilled to welcome Coach Sebastian to the NEVB coaching team! Sebastian is a native of Fairfield, CT, he played club volleyball at George Mason University before transferring to Quinnipiac University, where he founded the Men’s Club Volleyball program and played Middle/Opposite, winning the NECVL 2022 Regional Championship Tournament.
As a coach, he has worked at a wide range of levels. Sebastian is currently the Head Varsity Coach at Greenwich Academy. Most recently he was an Assistant Coach with the University of Connecticut volleyball program. After graduating, he became the Head Coach of the Quinnipiac Women’s Club team and led the team to a 27-3 record, placing 2nd in the NWVCL 2024 Regional Championship Tournament. While at UCONN, the team tied a program single season win record with 26 wins, reaching the Big East Conference Tournament and Great 8 of the NIVC Tournament. His favorite drill is Short Court Monarch. His favorite coaching moment is when good individual players finally mesh together into one great team.
Outside of NEVBC coaching, Sebastian is a PE teacher at Greenwich Academy, he enjoys reading, hiking and running, and spending time with his dog Savannah. He would like NEVBC families to know that he is incredibly passionate about the game of volleyball and is dedicated to helping players reach their full potential.
