Coach Laura brings an accomplished playing career and a passion for volleyball to NEVBC as she begins her first season as a coach. A Rochester, NY native, Laura played club volleyball for VolleyFX before competing for four years at Fairfield University and one year at Northeastern University while earning her master’s degree. Primarily an outside hitter with experience on the right side, Laura was part of two MAAC Championship teams and made two NCAA Tournament appearances at Fairfield. She was also a finalist for Fairfield’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned Comeback Player of the Year honors before finishing her collegiate career as a team captain at Northeastern.
Laura is excited to use the experience she gained playing at a high level to help her athletes grow both as volleyball players and people. She hopes to pass along the effective cues, drills, and lessons she learned throughout her career while creating a competitive and positive environment. As she begins her coaching career, Laura is most looking forward to working with her first team and seeing how much the athletes develop throughout the season.
Off the court, Laura works as a Business Analyst for a company focused on specialty pharmacy integration. She loves cooking, baking, and traveling to new countries, and has become an avid sourdough baker (she hasn’t bought a loaf of bread in over a year!).
