Kevin Marino brings with him to Northeast a wealth of coaching experience in both high school and club volleyball. For almost a decade, Kevin was on the coaching staff at New Canaan High School Girls Volleyball, taking over as head coach in 2017 until 2023. Kevin has also been on the coaching staff of Joel Barlow Boys Volleyball since 2013, taking over as head coach in 2020 after serving as assistant coach. Kevin helped lead the Falcons to an undefeated 2021 Class M Boys Volleyball State Championship, as well as a perfect season (25-0, 75-0) and State Championship in 2022. After being a standout for Barlow as a student in 2010 and 2011, earning first team all-conference both years, the 2021 state championship was a very special milestone for Kevin returning to his alma mater to coach.
Kevin coached the Northeast Boys 17 Open team to secure a bid at the 2022 Florida Fest Tournament in Orlando in the 17 USA Division, the second in our club’s history. In the summer of 2022, Kevin and his Northeast boys 17 Open team went to Las Vegas and brought home the USAV 17 USA National Championship, only the second CT-based team to win this title.
Kevin coached at Fairfield University as an Assistant Coach with the women’s team in the Fall of 2023. Helping the Stags win the MAAC conference tournament enroute to a Div. I NCAA tournament appearance. Kevin is currently an Assistant Coach at Div. II Pace University in Pleasantville, NY.
