Kevin Marino brings a wealth of coaching experience at both the high school and club levels. From 2017 to 2023, he served as Head Coach for the New Canaan High School Girls Volleyball program. Since 2012, Kevin has also been part of the Joel Barlow Boys Volleyball coaching staff, taking over as Head Coach in 2020 after eight years as an assistant. Under his leadership, the Falcons captured the 2021 Class M Boys Volleyball State Championship with an undefeated season, followed by a perfect 25-0 (75-0 set record) run to another State Championship in 2022, and added another state title in 2025. During his tenure, the Falcons have also earned three SWC Championships.
In 2025 Kevin was named Boys High School Volleyball Coach of The Year by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association.
Now in his fifth year with Northeast Volleyball Club, Kevin has played a key role in elevating the boys program. In 2022, he guided the Northeast Boys 17 Open team to secure a bid at the Florida Fest Tournament in Orlando in the 17 USA Division—the second in club history. That summer, he led the same team to Las Vegas, where they captured the USAV 17 USA National Championship, becoming only the second team from Connecticut to ever win the title.
Kevin’s collegiate coaching background includes serving as an Assistant Coach with the Fairfield University women’s program in 2023, helping the Stags win the MAAC Conference Championship and earn a berth to the NCAA Division I Tournament. He has also assisted at Division II Pace University.
Passionate about growing the boys’ game, Kevin strongly believes that every high school should offer boys the opportunity to compete in the spring season.
