Brendan is originally from Fairfield, CT. Brendan has been coaching a variety of levels for 8 years total now. He has been the Head Girls JV Coach as well as the Assistant Girls Varsity Coach at Staples High School in Westport, CT for the last 10 years. In 2020, he assisted in leading the Staples Girls Varsity team to an FCIAC Regional Championship win. In addition, Brendan has coached U15 club as well as coached beach volleyball camps for middle and high school students.
Brendan’s favorite drills to do in practice include ones that combine quick movement, coordination and concentration on accurate passes, and communication. Brendan focuses on promoting team chemistry, combining hard work with a fun environment, and working one-on-one for skill improvement.
When he is not coaching volleyball, Brendan is an English teacher at Staples High School. He enjoys traveling and playing and watching various sports. He and his wife welcomed their first child in October 2022, Charlotte, who he knows will certainly be a libero in her future!
