Austin is our resident Canadian and brings to Northeast extensive volleyball experience as both a player and coach. After high school and OVA club volleyball, Austin played three years at Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario, a perennial Canadian university powerhouse. At Queen’s, he played primarily as a six-rotation middle in the pre-libero era, as well as right side.
After university, Austin moved to the UK and played four seasons with the London Aces in the English National League.
Austin joined NEVBC in 2020. His coaching approach leans into his background in statistics and physics, and he is often found using diagrams, charts, and the occasional equation on our whiteboards to help athletes better understand the game.
